"Facial Hair Problems": Possibly the 1st creative thing I did with my head-hair was to part it in the middle when I was 12. Such a thing doesn't seem like a big deal today but at the time, say 1966, & the place, right outside the Baltimore city limits, it was a somewhat daring oddity. When I was 14, in the beginning of 1968, I started growing my hair long, against the express commands of my conservative mother, & started experiencing substantial hatred from many of the people around me. People would throw trash from their cars at me, shout out insults on a frequent basis from their passing cars as I was walking, etc, etc. Having a haircut that manifested my imaginings was both a creative act & a defiance of the cowardly bullies that many or most people were. I've even created a website to document most of the haircuts: http://idioideo.pleintekst.nl/Haircuts.html .
Now that I'm an old man I've gone so bald that I can't have haircuts as fabulous as I once did. In this case, I was going to get what I call a "Frame of Reference shape" on the back of my head but I changed my plan at the last minute to a simple face. I'm glad I did. Even though, as a haircut idea, a face isn't very visually advanced it does have a basic impact that I'll be able to use effectively. I call this haircut "Facial Hair". The "Problems" referred to in the title are the problems encountered while trying to just cut the hair as well as the other types of problems that seem somewhat never-ending in my life. If you think the conversation I leave in this document is aggravating you should hear what I cut out.

"#MadeUpTutorial 01": I'm still new to TikTok & I'm resisting being engrossed by it. I think Social Media is mostly a waste of time that's a poor substitute for actual socializing with people in person. In my brief fumblings on TikTok I accidentally stumbled across one or more tutorials on make-up. With rare exceptions, I think make-up just makes people look plastic, I like women without make-up. One of the videos I watched had a woman demonstrating her make-up application technique while she rattled off her 'unpopular opinions'. I found this combination entertainingly bizarre. As such, here's the 1st of my "Made-Up" Tutorials in which I spout one of my many unpopular opinions while applying make-up to my Facial Hair. - May 20, 2024 notes from tENTATIVELY, a cONVENIENCE

"#MadeUpTutorial 02": When I look thru various TikTok movies I'm sometimes surprised by how much people have 'mastered' the form, 'mastered' making very short movies that I find interesting & funny & well-made - all in a very short form. This pleases me & it seemed time to generally let TikTokers know the way I feel. May 22, 2204 note from tENTATIVELY, a cONVENIENCE #MadeUpTutorial

"Air Orchestra": My friend Rob (Unfinished Symphonies) & his partner Jacque (& often with their friend Maurice) organizes yearly events around a theme. 2024's theme was "Impossible". When Rob invited me to participate I almost immediately was inspired & thought of the Air Orchestra. That seemed ambitious enough to be 'impossible', at least as a one-man show. The day before the event I had my head-hair shaved so that it formed a face on the back of my head. Prior to the performance I kept a hood up so that the haircut wouldn't show. SO, when I climbed the stage as the conductor I pulled the hood off & presented my Facial Hair as my Speaking Face. I had asked Rob to shoot footage of my presentation with my iJones (cellphone) but I forgot to give it to Rob before I started so he was reliant on his audience-right camcorder. This didn't get across the effect of the Facial Hair because it was seeing it in profile. No biggie. I had fun & the audience seemed to appreciate it. - May 31, 2024E.V. notes from tENTATIVELY, a cONVENIENCE
