For what it's worth, I am quite probably the 1st person to organize an international collaborative PXL project ("Philosopher's Union Member's Mouthpieces": 1988-1998 (or the present since it's not officially over yet) in collaboration with Laura A. Trueseal, Uncle An, Randy George McWilliams, John Eaton & possibly others), the 1st person to present an all PXL program (""Philosopher's Union Members" Mad Scientist Didaction" - Transmission Gallery, Glasgow, Scotland, UK - Friday, June 17, 1988) which was probably also the 1st PXL program outside of the United States, the 1st person to make an all PXL feature-length movie ("I Plagiarized This Title From Outer Space Junk Mail": May-August, 1988), the most prolific PXL moviemaker (61 movies using PXL footage), & the 1st person to organize a multi-day PXL Festival ("International PXL-2000 Movie Festival": October 27-29, 1991).

That said, it's important to also give credit to those other bastions of PXL cultural innovation such as the

Pacific Film Archive's program: "Precious Pixels: Fisher-Price Videotapes": September 20, 1990;

ATA (Artists' Television Access)'s all PXL program: September 22, 1990

Mark McElhatten of Collective for Living Cinema's series "Pixelvision: the Philosophical Toy": earliest date unknown

&, most important of all for its longevity: Gerry Fialka's "PXL This" festival: fall 1991 to the present (an interview between Gerry & myself is here: InterviewFialka.html)

In connection with the "International PXL-2000 Movie Festival" I published a catalog & a 2 hour VHS compilation. Both of these are still available from me by emailing me at the below address. The PXL compilation video can be seen listed in my WIdémoUTH Tapes catalog here: http://idioideo.pleintekst.nl/WdmUCatalog.html

Now, 23 years after the festival, I'm putting scans of one version of the catalog below. I write "one version" because the end color copy of a Mark Pawson contribution came in multiple versions.
