There aren't really any minutes to this night b/c I was very preoccupied w/ trying to keep things going technically & w/ my having only been eating 1 meal a day for the preceeding 3 weeks or so & my only drinking socially (since this was a social situation, I was delighted to be able to get tipsy). Below are the notes from my onesownthoughts YouTube channel presentation of the movie linked to above:
""mmm057: Remote Viewing / Remote Grooving" is the quasi-documentary of the 57th m(usician's)m(eeting), a series of get-togethers where friends listen to & discuss (m)usic. This one was a coproduction of Ryan Broughman in Richmond & tENTATIVELY, a cONVENIENCE in Pittsburgh. Ryan & I video-communicated using both Google Hangouts & FaceTime & Ryan made a screen capture movie of these at his end while I used my older iJones to shoot at my end. The footage was then combined to make this. Also participating was Laura Kinzie (Richmond) & Elizabeth Fein & Ben Opie (Pittsburgh). A tape of Ryan's was played & CDs of Ben's music. We also explored notations of Chimpanzee vocal expression & criticisms of Stravinsky & Liszt as reproduced in Slonimsky's wonderful "Lexicon of Musical Invective". Remotes were placed in the shots at Ryan's suggestion to make a palpable example of "Remote Viewing" even if, uh, that isn't quite what the phrase ordinarily means. Of course, a little Remote Viewing becomes the gateway experience to Remote Grooving. Welcome to the '21st century'. - August 2, 2015 notes from tENTATIVELY, a cONVENIENCE"
