2021. Something Something Morning
I've known Chris Mason since the 1970s. He was part of a group called the Merzaum Collective & was the founder of a tape label called "Widemouth" (WdmUCatalog.html) created in January, 1979. I took over the label from him in mid 1981. It still exists (albeit feebly) 42 years later. Chris's tape on the label, "click poems liptych / ignorant translations" still ranks in my mind as one of the most important poetry recordings of any I've ever heard. I'm glad to still be friends with him. In this book he reminded me of a reading in which I acted as a proxy for Marshall Reese. I have no memory of this at all so I'm very grateful to Chris for sharing the memory 43 years later.
