I can at least make the claim that I organized one of the 1st PXL Festivals & that it was through the article in Mondo 2000 promoting it that I met Gerry. AND that I gave a screening hosted by Basement Films, the publisher of this book, on Thursday, October 22, 1998:
AND that I gave screenings hosted by the San Francisco Cinematheque,
who Steve Polta writes about here, on May 17, 1986; October 17 & 18,
1998; & February 6 & 9, 2003. AND the SFC published my book entitled
"Not Necessarily NOT Very Important".
As such, I can say that I have more than a casual connection with the culture written about in this book.
