You can buy this bk via this website: https://333d36.myshopify.com/products/how-to-write-poetry for a mere $7.50. The publisher, mOnocle-Lash Anti-Press, & I made this cheap in the usual attempt to reach people who have as little money as we do & a passion for the unusual that also approaches our own.
This is my 31st bk (if I don't include my one-or-two-of-a-kind 'artists bks' & my various chapbks). At the publisher's excellent suggestion, this is a flip-book - although, admittedly, one w/o much flip-bk action. Nowhere in the bk is it explained why, if it's a bk about how to write poetry, there's no explanation about how to write poetry. But you, dear review reader, will be let in on the secret:

"How to write poetry": Some people act like writing poetry takes great intelligence & sensitivity & finesse. It does. Sometimes. But for those of you who just want to wake up early & crank out your latest masterpiece & then go back to bed again here's the secret of one of the greatest thinkers & writers of the late 20th & early 21st centuries revealed with total candor. - October 3, 2024E.V. notes from tENTATIVELY, a cONVENIENCE

In order to write the 'poetry' of this bk I made non-lingual sounds to my voice-to-text app on my iJones (more commonly known as a 'smart' phone) & made a movie of the app turning my noises into language. I thought this was funny. This bk is stills from that short movie turned into a flip-book (sortof). However, w/o my explaining this, this process wd be rather 'opaque' to readers of the bk. This might seem entirely too flip(pant) to people who take poetry seriously but, hhmm, I don't beg to differ. For me, one of the purposes of writing poetry is to get outside of normal language use. After all, when one writes poetry one isn't ordering a pizza online (well, for the most part). SO, for me, it's interesting to try to get outside normal language use by not using normal language AT ALL & to have today's-servant-tomorrow's-master attempt to turn it into something presentable - & failing. The resultant streams of words are NOT something that I'd be likely to write in other circumstances.
