IMP ACTIVISM

By "IMP ACTIVISM " I mean POLITICAL ACTIVISM that has an IMPish sense of humor & that, hopefully, has IMPACT. How long have I been an activist? Was I an activist when I revolted against the restraints of Kindergarten? Probably not. When I became a full-blown anti-authoritarian in Elementary School? Not until, at age 11, I refused to stand, put my hand over my heart, & recite the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. & this WASN'T following an example set by my parents - they were "Staunch Republicans" - I came to this on my own. When I spontaneously participated in a resistance to returning to class age 13? Pretty unformed. When I didn't attend school but, instead, stood across the street from my High School to participate in an action in solidarity w/ teachers trying to get better wages? That was mainly my going along w/ a friend. When I refused to register for the draft during the Vietnam War? Indeed. How much change has come about that I perceive as positive? Much.. But not enuf. RESISTANCE IS FERTILE.

There're 95 movies of mine listed below that I think of primarily as political movies. Some of them are 'propaganda' (or anti-propaganda), some are quasi-documentaries of protest actions, some are quasi-documentaries of political history, some are things connected to or made for alternative media such as pirate tv & a phone station, etc, etc.. "Cosmic Grunt/Betsy DeVos" is included just because it's a reading that I gave that parodied DeVos. Perhaps it doesn't belong here. "Limpolysemia" is another dubious inclusion because it was a televideoconference between impish activists rather than an act of impish acitivism itself. A similar critique might be made of the inclusion of "Old Folks at Home: Doug Retzler" but I include that because it's a pretty good overview of Doug's ecological & community works.

"The Struggle to End Death by Incarceration" is a very serious matter & its inclusion here isn't to lump it in with humor but to simply spread the word of the cause. Ultimately, that's the case with many of the things listed below.

They had removed "Triumph of the Will" on June 18, 2019 (which I didn't know until after I did some research after my censoring), for the same reason & since "P@rty Prop@g@nd@" incorporates some of "Triumph of the Will" that's probably the reason for the problem. Strangely, I think that both "Birth of a Nation" AND "October" could be objected to but they're both still on YouTube. That's probably because they're both 'silent' films. I appealed my censorship but as of August 16, 2019, I haven't gotten a reply yet.
